PCWorld magazine is ceasing its publication in the US, it will now focus on its website and digital editions. In media reports, the parent company of PCWorld, IDG said that the August issue will be its last in printed form.

The magazine has been in print for more than 30 years and as of the last audit report, there are more than 330,000 subscribers or prints in circulation. The latest move will not affect current employees, IDG said.

Current PCWorld subscribers are being asked to convert their subscriptions to digital by registering online before August 21. The digital version of PCWorld will be available on iOS and Android devices, including Kindle Fire, iPads and iPhones.

Despite the changes, PCWorld will continue to operate and made available internationally in prints, including in the following countries: Poland, China, Ecuador, Latin America, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Myanmar, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines & Vietnam.

“Both technology users and marketers have led the way in the shift from print to online and our decision to end 30 years of PCWorld print publications reflects their preferences,” said Bob Carrigan, CEO, IDG Communications in a prepared statement. “PCWorld colleagues in the U.S. will now focus on innovative digital-first editions featuring interactive multimedia presented in high resolution.”
