Intel has announced the appointment of Sumner Lemon as Country Manager for Intel Malaysia and Singapore. Lemon will be accountable for all of Intel’s sales and marketing activities in Malaysia and Singapore. He will also be driving strategic partnerships with the government and ecosystem partners in order to accelerate technology adoption in both countries.

“2014 has been a very exciting year for Intel in terms of innovation and product offerings and I am very excited at the prospect of working with the Malaysian and Singaporean teams to bring these solutions to market. It is a privilege to have been appointed to this position and I am ready to build on the firm foundations laid by my predecessor,” Lemon (picture) said.

Lemon joined Intel in 2010 as a corporate communications manager based in Singapore. For the last two and a half years, Lemon was based in Hong Kong where he served as technical assistant and chief of staff to Gregory Bryant, General Manager for Intel Asia Pacific and Japan.

Prior to joining Intel, Sumner worked as a journalist, covering the technology industry in Taiwan, China and Southeast Asia. Lemon earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Colby College. Originally from the U.S., Lemon has lived in Asia for 23 years and is fluent in Mandarin.
