Microsoft Malaysia announced that the Surface 3 will be available starting May 5, price from RM1879.
Powered by the new quad-core Intel Atom x7 processor, Surface 3 is designed to maximize efficiency with up to 10 hours of video-playback battery life.
Available in two range of storage and memory configurations, the Surface 3 comes with a 10.8-inch ClearType HD multi-touch display featuring 3:2 aspect ratio, stereo speakers with Dolby Audio-enhanced sound.
Key features of the Surface 3, according to Microsoft:
- The best of a tablet. With a fanless design and up to 10 hours of video-playback along with a beautiful screen, integrated kickstand and stereo speakers with Dolby Audio-enhanced sound, Surface 3 offers hands-free entertainment wherever you go.
- Works like a laptop. Full Windows, multiple ports and the ability to run desktop software and click in a Surface 3 Type Cover make Surface 3 an ideal productivity device for school, work, home and on the move. You can also enhance your productivity with the Surface 3 Docking Station.
- The programs you want. With full Windows 8.1 and a free upgrade to Windows 10 when it’s available, Surface 3 is compatible with virtually all your favorite software and lets you run apps and desktop software side-by-side. It also includes a one-year Office 365 Personal subscription and OneDrive storage, so you can create, share, edit and present the way you’re used to.
- The performance you need. Microsoft said that Surface 3 comes with a full version of Windows 8.1 operating system and can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free when available. The Surface 3 also come complete with a one-year subscription of Microsoft Office 365 Personal, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, plus OneDrive cloud storage.
Surface 3 and new accessories will be available for pre-order in Malaysia starting April 13 at select partner retailers.
The 64GB storage version of Surface 3 (2GB RAM) will be priced at RM1879 while the 128GB storage version (4GB RAM) will be priced at RM2249.
Starting May 5 through selected retailers and resellers, customers can begin purchasing Surface 3, Surface 3 Type Cover, Surface Pen, Surface 3 Docking Station and Surface 3 Screen Protector.
