Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has issued a total of 50 compounds amounting to RM2.29 million this year to Telecommunications companies for the offense of false registration of prepaid SIM cards.
The compounds were issued to telecommunications companies in March, September and recently, early December 2015. In March and September, MCMC had issued a total of 25 compounds amounting to RM1.11 million. A total of 25 compounds amounting to RM1.18 million were issued early this month.
