Review: ASUS ZenPad 10

The global tablet market may be shrinking but that hasn’t stopped manufacturers from churning tablets of all shapes and sizes. The ASUS ZenPad 10 is ASUS’ answer to the juggernaut that is the Apple iPad Air 2, offering up a more affordable alternative that promises a luxurious experience. Does it cut the mustard though?

When ASUS Malaysia shipped this to The Amanz.net Review Lab, most of the media fraternity – if not all – have not even seen or heard that this particular 10in model is set to reach Malaysian retail.

As its price point might suggest, the ASUS ZenPad 10 has a plastic construction featuring smooth rounded edges and a textured back. While this design contribute to a pretty pleasant feel in the hand, it does tend to make the device slip easily. As is, many have commented on this particular trait when I passed them this device. Thus, it might be something ASUS would want to look into since its plastic construction doesn’t give much leeway for accidental drops.
