Lazada Malaysia has introduced six new features to make shopping more personalised for its customers on its mobile application in conjunction with its sixth anniversary that will run from April 25-27, 2018.
Lazada CEO Christophe Lejeune (picture) said Lazada, the most downloaded shopping application in Malaysia with over seven million downloads, will take advantage of the increasing smartphone penetration in the country, which stood at 70% in the third quarter of 2017.
He said more Malaysians are currently opting smartphones as their primary shopping tool.
“In order to continuously deliver a delightful shopping experience to our mobile customers, we are making shopping even more personalised, sociable and interactive,” he said at the anniversary festival launch in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
One of the new features initiated during the celebration is the full personalisation system that utilises artificial intelligence to show offers and products based on buyers’ purchase history and browsing patterns.
There is the Chat Now feature, which is currently in its beta phase, that allows customers to send instant messages within the application to the sellers they wish to contact, instead of via the comments currently available on product pages.
Buyers looking for more savings are offered a 10% cashback for purchases made via its new e-wallet during the birthday festival.
The e-commerce platform also introduces a “Follow” feature that enables users to track their selected shops and “Scan to Shop” feature where Lazada’s QR Code scanner will show available offers on Lazada. The QR codes will be shown at selected offline stores.
Buyers stand a chance to win vouchers up to RM100 in this anniversary celebration with the “Shake for Deals”.
