OPPO Brings Joy To Underprivileged Children of Rumah Titian Kaseh

OPPO Malaysia is dedicated to giving back to society in the month of Ramadan by bringing joy and happiness to children in Rumah Titian Kaseh located at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. To spread the festive spirit, OPPO provided the children’s home with essential items and a monetary donation worth RM 10,000.00, of which part of the profits from the OPPO F7 x Neelofa edition contributed to this amount. Adding to the good news, Elfira Loy, a famous Malaysian singer and actress was also present as a special guest to spend time with the children.

To amplify the spirit of Ramadan, OPPO Malaysia prepared fun activities and a ‘buka puasa’ session at the children’s home. The evening merriments began with Elfira Loy playing a few interactive games, joining the children in sand art coloring, and followed by a performance from Ollie, the OPPO mascot.

“Meeting the children and spending time with them has been a rewarding experience, and I am honored to be able to work alongside OPPO Malaysia for this special occasion. Sharing, giving and spreading joy with the less fortunate really put things into perspective and teaches us to be grateful for what we have,” said Elfira Loy.

As the evening wore on, performances from Ollie the mascot entertained children, while Elfira Loy distributed goodie bags with essential items for the home. OPPO also presented their monetary donation to Rumah Titian Kaseh. After Maghrib prayers, the children, caretakers and guests were then treated to a sumptuous ‘buka puasa’ session.

“During the festive season such as Ramadan, we believe it is important to engage with the community and to give back whenever we can. It is such a rewarding experience to brighten up the children’s day. We are delighted that we were able to bring smiles on their faces. We are also pleased to be able to make this donation and believe our contribution will help the guardians to provide for the children with more ease,” said Mr. William Fang, CEO of OPPO Malaysia.

He added by saying, “We have attained great heights in the four and a half years that we have been in Malaysia and it wouldn’t be possible without the support from the community. This humble contribution is just one way for us to give back, because at OPPO, we believe that caring for the community is something that everyone can and should be involved in. This Ramadan, we wanted to ensure that this effort will ease the guardian’s financial burden and hopefully the children will have a great time during the upcoming Raya festivities,”

Rumah Titian Kaseh was established in 1998 as a home that protects single mothers and orphans. It aims to helps improve and restore the living quality of dwellers, so they can be independent on their own feet. It currently houses 95 children and 25 single mothers, OKU and senior citizen combined.
