With just weeks until kick-off, Twitter and Astro today announced a major collaboration for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. Astro is the home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ in Malaysia. Sports is live and social on Twitter as fans watch, debate and celebrate their favourite sports together. To amplify sports conversations among fans in Malaysia, Astro is partnering with Twitter to provide ‘near-live’ football match clips and tournament content on @stadiumastro.

Fans of the global football tournament can look forward to goal alerts from match of the day, replay of the best goal of the day from every angle, roundup of the day’s action capturing key moments and a collection of video clips of the star player of a match.

“We are excited to team up with Astro to bring exclusive World Cup content such as expert analysis and video highlights to Twitter alongside the best real-time conversations and Tweets,” says Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s SEA Head of Sports Partnerships. “Malaysians are passionate about football, and fans should head straight to Astro and Twitter to see and talk about everything that’s happening during the football tournament.”

CK Lee, Astro’s Chief of Sports says, “Live sports is best experienced together. Astro hopes to spark lively and engaging conversations among Malaysians on their favourite World Cup moments with our ‘near-live’ clips at @stadiumastro.
