Malaysia Hindu Sangam (MHS) has urged Hindus in the country to remain calm and not to respond to any hate propaganda.
Its national president Datuk RS Mohan Shan noted that rumours were being spread on social media, both local and foreign, to create the impression that Hindus and Hindu places of worship in the country were under attack.
“This is but a rumour and without a shred of truth. We, Hindus in Malaysia, are safe,“ he said in a statement today against the backdrop of chaos that hit a Hindu temple in Subang Jaya recently.
He underscored that the Indian community, especially Hindus, had full faith in the government and its ability to maintain peace and order in the country.
