FedEx Stops Shipment of Huawei Phone Due to US Government Ban

Huawei is no longer allowed to work with American companies and use their products, as per the United States government order signed by President Donald Trump in mid-May.

And while the company has received a 90-day reprieve on the ban, putting Huawei on the blacklist has changed the way American firms do business not only in the country, but also worldwide.

Living proof is shipping company FedEx, which has recently refused to ship a Huawei P30 from the United Kingdom to the United States due to the ban.

The folks over at PCMag say they were trying to send a used Huawei P30 Pro to the United States for some testing, but the shipping was blocked – of particular note is that the ban does not concern devices already on the market, but those that launch after the order was signed.

Package sent back the same day

The package was actually shipped from London to Indianapolis, but it was sent back after approximately five hours. A label on the package reads the following:

“Parcel returned by FedEx, due US government issue with Huawei and China government.”
