  1. How DOOM performs here is kind of how HD videos on YouTube run for me on this 2011 laptop. – 1080p is barely stutterless, but higher it becomes worse of course.
Flashbacks to running the early HD videos available back in like 2006 on a Pentium 4… -_- Although, that was actually worse.

  2. everyone's talking about how they repeated the clips at 14:33 and 15:28 but nobody's talking about how linus said the stuff about "having the fps to back it up" at 14:33 over footage of doom 4 running at the exact same fps as on the older machine

  3. Think they rly need to give a fatty * when they say 10 yr old pc considering there are alot of swapped out parts n shit lmao

  4. Corsair has gaming-kits with 32GB sticks?… As if that company could get any more ridiculous and pretentious. – They did it…
I feel sorry for the gullible ones that will buy into loads and loads of "gaming RAM", for probably a lot of money, which you don't even use with videogames.
I mean, 4 gigs is enough, and if you need more, just download it…

  5. That monitor might show "more information" because of the refresh rate, but it's missing a heck of a lot of information on the sides there… It's too narrow.

  6. turn hardware acceleration off for google chrome, it will improve your experience by a landslide, some other settings in chrome can be changed to fix things up a bit too

  7. No, the PLATFORM is 10 years old. The graphics cards are 1 year old, ipso, the computer as a whole is not 10 years old. You put a new engine in an old ass car with the same old ass transmission

  8. My Samsung monitor bottlenecks my system and worst of all is it loses displayport signal randomly and quite often. Like every time I boot up the system and random loss of signal when gaming or just web browsing. Thanks Samsung !
