The "green cast" is probably abouy poor, or no calibration. Though representative of out of the box experience, a more "pro reviewer" approach is to calibrate the displays and do the tests a second time.
Even "factory calibrated" displays are a bit off, and can benifit from recalibration.
I understand, that a customer of a $100-200 display won't likely spend another $100 on a calibrator, but for terrible calibration errors, even eye balling it can yeald some improvement.

The Samsung monitor has ha black equalizer set on 13, but you can can set it to 20 for more "blackness".

While not a "monitor" the new 48" OLED probably takes up about the same amount of space or even less than your giant ultrawide monitor while providing all the benefits of OLED with low input lag.
See this is why people get pissed, all I'm hearing is if you want HDR that actually looks good, you need to spend $4,000 on a monitor….
