Nice video. Very brave to wade into the world of speaker design. All the CAD and 3D printing stuff was impressive. Always fun to see what you can do with those inexpensive electronic boards from China.. Not being able to afford a McIntosh, we built a "Fakeintosh" amplifier using AliExpress parts a couple of years ago – it was fun, but those audio engineers are pros for a reason!
I mean, it wouldn't have beat the LG, just based off the fact that the LG is massed produced and they can recover costs over a long period of time. The DIY would have to recover costs with just one unit.
IMHO, including the labor cost is dumb in a case like this, and while LG has spent loads more, they can mass produce it and have no added costs afterwards.
Also, I don't understand why you couldn't have afforded a sub, considering you had $50 left.
great attempt though guys. I'm impressed, I would love to see an update with a controller that supports higher power and a sub. LG get a break in parts price cause of mass production, but I know you know that already. point is price could be forgiven a little for going higher.
Can any of you build a better bluetooth speaker than this?

It's not a fair comparison, you should have used a BT module with configurable equalizer (e.g. CSRA64215) and tune it like LG did
WE WANT AC PART II !!!!!

It's bluetooth 5.0 right? If one is good at base, and the other is better at high end. Why not play them together?

Ive Made the best Bluetooth speakers using really nice surround sound speakers from goodwill and a $1.50 PAM digital amplifier.
Seriously, you should really use a mask when aerosol painting. This goes for other tech youtubers too.
Anyone looking into a DIY speaker definitely does not own a laser cutter or a 3d printer lol
