The Duo has had me hyped for as long as it's been known. I stopped looking at it the moment they said there's no NFC support. Didn't even know about all those issues that people apparently came across after it was on the market. I'd still want a fixed version at a better price but only with NFC in it.
That LG phone looks awful. I'd feel really awkward using this in public to the point I'd not use at all.
I actually had the Padfone and I loved it. The phone itself was really solid, if a bit anemic on the computing power side, but I had everything on my phone and my tablet without having to transfer stuff around. Used it while I spent time traveling where I didn't have a NAS and automated syncing methods and no infinite internet access and it was perfect for me.
