Particularly curious to see what you think after you've watched this one! ♻️ To find out what happened when I bought the strangest phones on the internet: https://youtu.be/eiDoBooB8-E
To Apple and Samsung. If you care about the e-waste don't brick old phones because you are against people to be able to perform repairs even with OEM parts from original devices. You are promoting e-waste by being anti-consumer to your customers.
Thank you Aaron(Apologies for spelling error) for making such a detailed and informative video. I so agree with you that companies just follow apple and try to rip off customers and as a consumers we are left wirh little or no choice. As a matter of fact Samsung still launches mid range devices with headphone jack, though they are no longer seen in flagship devices. Could you throw some light on it? Also if you could please suggest GaN technology supported chargers? 🙏🏻
Next year apple will remove the old box and will ask buyers to buy new box that will fit the phone ….it will reduce 300tons of metric carbon and charge extra money as the box is also eco friendly. This is the reason I hate apple and its dumb fans who think they are smart. Actually they are fart not smart…. idiots they dont want basic charger for their phone🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
One thing to take into account is that the production of the brick/headphones are likely using significantly more energy than the additional packaging assuming not everyone buys a new brick/headphones with each phone. There will be a point where if say 20% of people don't buy the additional gear that it will be better for the environment. Also if you buy an additional charger/headphones/case then they won't always be using an additional 4 trips and would argue likely usually bought together with the phone. Lots of very valid points though good video
If they want to save the environment just give the charger for free with out a bag maybe the box with the phone should be with a code and go to a store and put the code and get the charger
It was really obvious that all these companies wanted people to go the wireless route as soon as they dropped the wired charging brick, but the last part about GAN chargers was really informative. I have a OnePlus Warp charger and it is so wide that nothing else can be plugged next to it. Wonder if they use Gallium Nitride.
PS: Honest confession though… when I exchanged my last smartphone instead of giving back the fast charger it came with I actually ended up giving a separate 5W charger I got with an old Wifi dongle.
If Apple would finally start to use USB-C, the waste savings (including dongles for lightning port/separate cable for charging) would be immeasurably higher. Change my mind.

If GaN wasn't an expensive material

Parts availability and cutting costs?
I suck at reading between the lines, but did he even mention the REAL reason we're not getting chargers anymore?
Common sense that isn't that Common, great channel
Totally agree with you on this 100% spot on.
Xiaomi though said that if you need a charger they give you
They should give you a extra phone to fill the other half up.
They should make the phones chipper , if they remove the chargers
They call it iprofit

Fuckin apple does all this shit and other companies blindly follow..
Nowadays mid range phones have better value..

They got another great excuse to milk more money out of us
