[Video] The Awesome Cooler You Can Actually Afford

Meet Noctua’s first foray into a value line of CPU coolers. It’s a trimmed down version of the excellent NH-U12S – but.. do the savings match the performance?

  1. I`m interestet in an comparison of the NH-U12S redux and the Pure Rock Slim 2 from BeQuiet which Hardware Canucks reviewed as top for the Bugs for 25$.

  2. This is a super great improvement. Last time when I was building my full tower in 2016 I ended up using a SilentiumPC (Polish manufacturer) dual tower cooler which didn't have that good of a noise profile but was 30 bucks cheaper. This will definitely take its place in the market and I'm happy about that

  3. Should have measured the RPM, because if it is higher in the cheaper one it actually doesn’t work as good, it’s just the fan compensating.

  4. 6:24 Yeah, but ANY fan going above 1500 RPM does that & the only realistic way to change that would be to change the fan design to create less turbulence at higher RPM (perhaps moving less air in the process) or to change the materials you use to something lighter and more ridged (and probably more expensive).

At the very least, you have the option of getting that extra 200 RPM if noise is meaningless to you…

  5. Hello Linus, i am a very big fan of yours. I have recently bought a Redgear MK853 keyboard. This is my first ever gaming mechanical keyboard. Will you please give a review video on this product? I will really appreciate that. Love from India.

  9. 50€ on german amazon is not what I would call "low budget"
for example: my arctic freezer 13 for under 20€ works for over six years without one reason to complain about it.

  10. Wondering if y’all could help me, when I turn my desktop on it goes to the regular windows starting screen but than when I log in it black screens. You can open task manager and open up application that way and can see them but shows no background or icons. Is this a gpu failure? It’s a gtx 750 ti. Also task manager shows 0-1% gpu usage when it happens.

  11. It pretty much almost always comes down to the fan being used so… 5:00 5:53

I've been trying to get Gamers Nexus to test fans for years now, lol.

Meanwhile, Major Hardware built a channel out of 3D printing fan (double entendre, without risque interpretation) designs. =D

  12. Still, not a single word on Chia cryptocurrency and the lack of HDD supply it creates. Why?
The prices of hard drives doubled if you could find any. I didn't.
