  1. Man. Linus why do you do this to us, your subscribers who are poor and living in India, now that you have let the cat out of the bag so to speak, we wont be able to get either mainboards or these cpu's for another year. And btw. nnot all of us want to support a company(AMD) who support the CCP. I'll support any company that sets up large dev facilities in Israel and support the Jews in their quest to make a homeland for themselves again, like they deserve….

  2. Can vouch for soundcore. Had the life dot 2 for a while and they're great! The soft plastic that holds it in your ear falls off easily but charge the case once and I can use it for a month with daily usage. Great sound, too!

  3. Interesting, I'm on X99 and have been looking for an in socket upgrade for a little extra life before I do a full platform upgrade, but the 2nd hand market has been pretty bad and people want WAAAY too much for them here in Australia, so I might look into this

  4. FCK gaming, I wanna work with in real-time .h265 natively and use FX simultaneously…. This seems like an easy win to me. Of coarse now that you made a video about them there will be none available. Oh well, maybe next year.

  5. You know I just realised the word "tips" never aligns with "linus" and "tech" in the intro. It remains slightly higher. I may be missing a joke, but is that why it says "Close enough, right?"?

  6. I just went to buy the 18 core 7980xe and of course they are all sold out down to the 10 cores 🙁 wish I seen this earlier. Always wanted the 18core to play with.

  7. Hi Linus! I am actually intrigued to know if by disabling visual effects on Windows actually improves performance, and if, by what marging and if it's worth doing.

  8. Except why would Intel continue production of the 7980XE? Aren't they still producing the 10980XE which is basically the exact same thing but binned or upclocked, but still a 14nm part?

  9. Linus: "if all you're doing is gaming, the answer is an unequivocal 'no'. You're better off with a used Ryzen 3000…"
Benchmarks: i9 Extreme edition CPUs are faster than the Ryzen 9 3900X for gaming.
To be fair, you can get a Ryzen 5 3600 for $200 and get basically the same gaming performance (and the motherboards are a lot cheaper as well), but the comparison against the Ryzen 9s for gaming is pretty good.
