Nissan owners to Control their Car with a Smartphone

Microsoft reveals that its cloud services will power the remote controlling features of several Nissan models.

Specifically, Nissan LEAF and Infiniti models sold in Europe will come with the so-called Connect Telematics Systems (CTS) powered by Microsoft Azure, which allows vehicle owners to remotely control their cars using a smartphone application.

Thanks to Microsoft’s cloud services, a Nissan owner can adjust climate controls, set charging functions, and gather information about the car.

Additionally, the application offers charge status, charging station availability to make sure you have enough power to find a place and recharge batteries while also showing range prediction just like the in-car display.
