Intel Malaysia announced the launch of ‘Be Amazing’, a PC refresher campaign which highlights Intel’s latest product offerings that best suit the computing needs of today’s consumers.
“We believe that today’s mainstream users are extremely visual in their creation, consumption and communication of content. They demand a combination of mobility and style, and a high performance computing experience that is visually rich and seamless to suit their active lifestyles. The ‘Be Amazing’ campaign will help us meet the computing needs of these consumers with the latest product offerings by Intel, namely the Ultrabook and laptops powered by the 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel Core processors,” said Prakash Mallya, country manager of Intel Malaysia.
According to Mallya, the “Be Amazing” campaign is an integrated campaign that aims to reach more than 500,000 consumers nationwide. It is primarily focused on the connected youth in both urban and rural markets throughout the country.
A series of ‘Be Amazing’ roadshows will be held in 23 cities across 13 states, covering 200 PC retail outlets and 30 universities and colleges in Malaysia. Apart from exciting and engaging on-ground activities for all, the roadshows will feature an array of Ultrabooks and laptops powered by the 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel Core processors, as well as special promotional deals by OEMs.
At the road shows, consumers will get the opportunity to have a hands-on experience of the Ultrabook, a new category of computers inspired by Intel. Sleek and stylish, the Ultrabook is the next generation of mobile computing — thinner, lighter and more responsive than traditional laptops, yet just as powerful and secure.
“We are also excited to announce the ‘Be Amazing’ contest exclusively for consumers who purchase any PC powered by 2nd or 3rd Generation Intel Core processor at the various road show locations, 200 participating PC retail outlets and key PC fair venues. Consumers who purchase any PC powered by 2nd or 3rd Generation Intel Core processor will stand a chance to win shopping vouchers with a collective total of RM20,000. In addition, those who purchase any model of the Ultrabook will stand a chance to win the grand prize of a paid trip for two to Hong Kong to watch Wang Lee Hom live as well as exclusive passes to Lee Hom’s private after-concert party during our Phase 1 contest,” said Vanessa Ng, marketing manager of Intel Malaysia. Intel Malaysia recently appointed the multi-talented American-Taiwanese star as the spokesperson for the Ultrabook in Malaysia.
The ‘Be Amazing’ campaign will also be featured on Intel Malaysia’s Facebook Page to extend its reach to a wider online audience. This campaign will run from 4 June until 31 December 2012. Participating OEM partners include Acer, Asus and Toshiba. Other OEMs are expected to come on board the campaign soon.
