Klang Valley residents are now being offered with another e-hailing service facility via the launch of MyCar application today.

MyCar developed by Platform Apps Sdn Bhd aims to balance the e-hailing industry in Malaysia, besides providing a platform for drivers to generate income.

Its founder, Mohd Noah Maideen said the application which started operating on Feb 1, also gave former Uber drivers a choice after the service merged with Grab on March 26.

“The application can help drivers gain access to consumer demand in the growing e-hailing market and generate more income.

“In addition, it helps balance the e-hailing industry in Malaysia, thereby creating healthy competition in providing the best service to customers,” he told reporters here today.

So far, there are about 57,000 drivers registered with the MyCar application since it started operating in February. Of the total, 10% are women.

Mohd Noah said the response had been very encouraging in the last two months, with 5,000 passengers having used the service.
