BMW Malaysia Returns as the Official Automotive Partner for the Maybank Championship 2023

BMW Malaysia today announced its return as the official premium automotive partner for the prestigious Maybank Championship 2023, marking a significant milestone in their unwavering commitment to supporting world-class sporting events and advancing sustainability through BMW i vehicles. This event, sanctioned by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), aligns with Maybank’s dedication to elevating women’s sports, uniting exceptional sportswomen, and inspiring them to excel. Themed ‘Retake the Green’, the championship brings together the world’s best golfers for an epic showdown at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).

BMW Malaysia will provide a remarkable fleet of electric vehicles, comprising 22 units of the groundbreaking BMW iX and seven units of the First-Ever BMW i7. These vehicles will serve as the official transportation for all sportswomen, officials, and VVIPs during the tournament at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. Additionally, a BMW i7 will be on display at Hole 15, adding an extra touch of sophistication to the tournament experience.

The highly anticipated Maybank Championship 2023 is scheduled to take place from 26th to 29th October 2023. The event will highlight 80 sportswomen from all over the world, with notable World Champion participants such as Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Jin Young Ko, Atthaya Thitikul, Minjee Lee, Brooke Henderson and Celine Boutier. These accomplished athletes will compete for a total prize purse of US$3 million.
